Happy new year!

I spent new years eve at friends in Zaandam. From the 10th floor we had a very nice view of Zaandam and nearby towns. I spent some time on the balcony taking pictures, while balancing the camera on the balcony edge because I did not bring a tripod. I just snapped away and realized that being that high has its pros and cons. Because most fireworks were visible at the same height or lower, the camera was always pointed downwards, including a lot of things you don't want to see in fireworks photos.
