Rijksmuseum facade
Monday August 27, 2018The Rijksmuseum is one of the most impressive historical buildings in Amsterdam (and also looks a bit like Amsterdam Central Station). It was opened in 1885 and has famous works of art by Dutch masters, such as Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and Johannes Vermeer. Even Barack Obama visited it while in the Netherlands a couple of years ago. One of the most unbelievable features is the tunnel underneath it where cyclists often try to avoid tourists who pay no attention at all.
