The old marina of Bunschoten-Spakenburg dates back to 1200, when Spakenburg was a fishing village next to the Zuiderzee. Bunschoten was a farmers village, but both villages have grown enough to become one. The old marina contains mainly Botters (old monumental sailing boats).
